Counseling & Support Services
The Laurel Center supports the healing capacity of domestic and sexual violence survivors, their friends and family through one-on-one crisis counseling and by offering several different types of support groups throughout the year.
Individual Crisis Counseling
With a focus on support and education, our counseling services provide a bridge between a moment of crisis and taking the next step towards healing. Whether the abuse or assault happened yesterday or years ago, to you or to someone you love, trained advocates are available to help you in your journey.
Support Groups
Support groups are offered on a rolling basis throughout the year and focus on specific issues. Past topics have included:
• Boundary Empowerment for adult survivors of child sexual abuse
• Tending Your Garden for those needing support in living free from domestic violence
• Explorer’s Club for children ages 6-11 years old
• And many more!
To get more information on upcoming support groups or to make an appointment for individual crisis counseling, please call 540-667-6466. All services are free & confidential!
