Young Women's Lives
Begins Wednesday September 1st 6:00-7:30pm
This FREE 10 week group is for young women ages 14-19 who have been impacted by sexual harassment or assault. The curriculum is designed to help young women develop strategies to meet the difficult challenges they face in society. Topics will include self awareness, personal power, healing and becoming a force for change. Please contact Carrie Combs at 540-667-6160 to register.
3rd Annual 5K Walk for Women
sponsored by Dr. Matthew Karen and the staff at Exclusively Faces Cosmetic Surgery & Spa
will take place on September 11th at 7:30am. Walk begins at 8:30am
$20.00 per participant or $10.00 with donation (see wish list) on the day of the walk or
$100.00 per team (maximum of 6 walkers). Children under 12 are free!

Clothesline Project Night
Monday September 27th, 5:00-8:00pm
The Laurel Center will host an evening for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who would like to create new Clothesline Project t-shirts. Art supplies and t-shirts will be provided. Drop-in participants are welcome.

International Childrens Festival
Saturday, October 2nd, 10:00am-2:00pm
The Laurel Center will host a booth at the City of Winchester's 2nd Annual International Children's Festival.
Children are invited to use their handprint to pledge non-violence. Pledges available in boht English and Spanish.
